The opening of Brickell City Centre was an eight hour extravaganza beginning with the launch of the first new Saks Fifth Avenue in Miami in 30 years, followed by a concert with none other than Mr. 305 himself, Pitbull. The Queen of the Night, Susanne Bartsch, then led a fashion parade for 4,000 guests as they previewed the true Centre of Attention accompanied by a DJ set from Michealangelo L’Acqua and a live musical performance from nu-disco Brooklyn based band Escort. The event created over 300 million press impressions and was one of the most talked about openings to ever take place in Miami.
